  • Great for lots of graphics fast screen changes, video and animation images
  • Thin, light-weight, and low power consumption
  • Size, weight and power are all reduced substantially
  • Low Magnetic emissions and x-rays
  • Use standard video port on PC systems and standard line voltages
  • Display a high resolution, bright clear flicker free image
  • Can be used in any environment that a CRT operates
Cons
  • Environmental and safety issue
  • Dust entering the CRT heat vents can cause damage
  • Not good for environment with high magnetic fields
  • Not suitable to operate in clean rooms since electrostatic charge emitted attracts dust
  • Easy to cause eyestrain and fatigue
  • High cost
    (The cost has been dropping with advancements in technology, better manufacturing facilities, and increase in volume produced.)
